Let me start out by saying, this is no easy task. For one thing, I have to make it longer. I hope to do this by diving into Vin's character more, and making him more realistic and accessible to the reader. After all, we aren't all gay Issaquah men, no matter how much we all wish we were.
And actually that's another thing I need to fix: I need to convince the reader that making the main character gay actually serves a purpose and isn't some wacky gimmick that I added to make fun of homosexuals myself. Don't get me wrong; I 'm not gay, as I've previously stated, and any rumors of me proposing to Docta Jim on top of the spire on the space needle are greatly fabricated, as are any satellite images that exist of the alleged event. Nevertheless, as I have repeatedly asserted, making the main character gay served two purposes:
- It's unique. Out of all the stories that I've read, only about a tenth have involved homosexuality, and aside from "Shock", none made it blatantly apparent.
- It gives the main character a perfect reason to be angry. After all, discrimination against people based upon sexual orientation is all too common, even in supposedly left-wing areas of the country, such as the city of Issaquah, although this trend discontinues as one ventures east.
>Docta Haus is not implying that Issaquah is a hick town by any means.
>Nor is he implying that this is a picture of a limousine parked outside of Mount Si High School:

It is my job as the author to get this message across to my readers more effectively and efficiently. I hope that over the next few days I can make my story far better and much longer than it is now.
Regards,
The Docta
